The latest update of the Roadmap of Large Research Infrastructures of the Czech Republic for the years 2023-2026 was acknowledged by the Czech Government on June 14th 2023. The Roadmap update was prepared following the resolution of the Government of the Czech Republic on public funding of large research infrastructures by 2026. Since 2015, the Roadmap has included only the large research infrastructures adopted for public funding by the Government of the Czech Republic. As regards the financial support of such large research infrastructures, their operations costs are funded directly by the Ministry of Education, Youth and Sports (MEYS). The investment needs of large research infrastructures are then financed by the MEYS using European Structural and Investment Funds, currently from the Operational Programme Jan Amos Komenský (OP JAK). In this way, the Czech Republic applies a synergetic model of funding the operations and investment costs of large research infrastructures, using the state budget expenditures of the Czech Republic on research, development and innovation and the EU cohesion policy instruments.

ACTRIS-Norway contributes strongly to ACTRIS; NILU leads the ACTRIS Data Centre for the entire infrastructure, and the Norwegian observatories (Zeppelin, Birkenes and Trollhaugen) are taking part in the labelling process as ACTRIS National Facilities.
The Consortium is funded by the Research Council of Norway until 2027. The Norwegian ACTRIS measurements are primarily associated with Norway's obligation towards the UNECE (United Nations Economic Commission for Europe), CLTRAP (Convention on Long-range Transboundary Air Pollution), and EMEP (European Monitoring and Evaluation Programme). In January 2020, ACTRIS-Poland Consortium was successful in placing ACTRIS-Poland on the National Roadmap for Research Infrastructures.
Partners of ACTRIS-Poland maintain and develop the existing four measurement sites selected so as to reasonably cover the country. Those are considered the priority sites, which are targeted to be fully operational by the end of 2025. The development of the mobile laboratory is most challenging, being a joint effort of all RPOs, yet crucial for increasing the national visibility of ACTRIS-Poland via its future operation at different locations in Poland. Moreover, ACTRIS-Poland community started collaboration with ICOS-Poland community to support their development of high tower atmospheric measurement site via collocation with one of the ACTRIS sites. The ACTRIS-Poland Mobile Laboratory and the ACTRIS-ICOS collocated site are both forseen to be developed after 2025.Membership Status in the ACTRIS ERIC General Assembly: Member

ACTRIS Sweden is formally established (Memorandum of Understanding), involving:
- Lund University
- Stockholm University
- Gothenburg University
- Swedish University of Agricultural Sciences
- Swedish Meteorological and Hydrological Institute
- Uppsala University.
Since 2017, ACTRIS-Sweden has been on the Swedish Research Infrastructure Roadmap in the highest Category A1. This paved the way for ACTRIS-Sweden to be established in 2022 as a national research infrastructure with financial support from the Swedish Research Council. In turn, this enabled Sweden to become one of the founding members of ACTRIS ERIC in 2023.
The ACTRIS-Sweden observations are made along a 3000 km south-north gradient and hence also a high-to-low gradient in anthropogenic pollution and boreal-to-polar climate. It is expected that ACTRIS-Sweden with its co-localization with ICOS Sweden providing long-term observations on long-lived greenhouse gases, their variability, sources and sinks – will have a critical impact on enhancing excellence in Earth system observations and research by providing information and knowledge for the development of sustainable solutions to societal needs.
On request from the Swedish Research Council, extensive discussions have taken place between ACTRIS Sweden, ICOS Sweden and SITES (Swedish Infrastructure for Ecosystem Science). SITES is a Swedish national research infrastructure similar to European eLTER in the ESFRI environment and climate domain. These
discussions resulted in a strategic plan for enhanced cooperation between ACTRIS-Sweden, ICOS Sweden and SITES for maximizing scientific value and organizational and economic efficiency.Membership Status in the ACTRIS ERIC General Assembly: Member

The national ACTRIS consortium consists of six partners:
- Swiss Federal Laboratories for MaterialsScience and Technology (Empa)
- Physikalisch-Meteorologisches Observatorium Davos/World RadiationCenter (PMOD/WRC)
- Institute for Atmospheric and Climate Science (IAC), ETH Zürich
- University of Bern
- Federal Office of Meteorology and Climatology, MeteoSwiss

ACTRIS-Switzerland operates one unit in the ACTRIS Centre for Aerosol Remote Sensing (CARS), one unit in the Centre for Reactive Trace Gases In Situ Measurements (CiGas), one Exploratory Platform, and three Observational Platforms, which serve both commonand type-specific user groups. The Central Facility units have a focus on expert training, ensuring data quality for scientific applications, and method development in collaboration with private companies and national institutes of metrology.
The Exploratory Platform serves researchers as a user platform for sophisticated process studies aswell as for testing advanced instruments for atmospherically relevant samples under controlled conditions. The Observational Platforms are tailored towards providing comprehensive and high-quality data sets forEarth system research in addition to hosting researchers for field experiments.
ACTRIS entered the Swiss Roadmap for Research Infrastructures in 2019, which enabled the establishmentof the national consortium and implementation of the ACTRIS facilities in Switzerland. In 2024, the State Secretariat for Education, Research and Innovation committed funding for the 2025-2028 period to finalize implementation and transition to operation. ACTRIS Switzerland further relies on financial support from the RPOs, synergies with co-located observation networks, and infrastructure hosting the facilities such as the High Altitude

ACTRIS-Ireland consists in the following research performing organisations:
- University College Cork (UCC)
- University of Galway (UoG)
- Met Éireann
The two main participants (UoG and UCC) have been involved with the ACTRIS community for well over adecade and have participated in all projects carried out to date. However, Ireland does not have a currentnational research infrastructure roadmap and securing support for involvement in ACTRIS is therefore verychallenging. There are no formal procedures to follow and discussions with the relevant governmentdepartments and agencies have so far proved to be unproductive. Nevertheless, UCC and UoG remaincommitted to continued engagement with the Irish government to secure support for establishing ACTRIS-Ireland and joining ACTRIS ERIC as a full member.
The Observational and Exploratory Platforms in UoG and UCC have been developed with funds obtained from national research funding mechanisms. The respective institutions have also supported these research facilities by providing equipment and staff. However, the continued operation of these facilities into the Operational Phase of ACTRIS can only be ensured if the government commits to establish ACTRIS-Ireland and support it with targeted national funding.

Only in 2015, the Portuguese research institutions started to organize themselves as a consortium and nowadays the Portuguese ACTRIS community is discussing with the decision-makers the setup of the consortium. Following a request from the National Science Foundation (FCT), in 2020 the application for the inclusion of the ACTRIS-Portugal consortium (ACTRIS-PT) in the Infrastructures National Roadmap has been submitted.
