| Meeting venue | ACTRIS Week 2026 will take place in Katowice, Poland. The meeting will be held at the University of Silesia in Katowice, Faculty of Humanities (ul. Uniwersytecka 4). |
| Aim | The aim of the ACTRIS Week 2026 is to bring the ACTRIS Community together, to update the community about the most recent and ongoing ACTRIS progress, projects and challenges, and to provide a platform for various ACTRIS and ACTRIS-adjacent groups and communities to get together. ACTRIS Week 2026 will set the stage for the ATMO-SERV Kick-Off Meeting, the next ACTRIS National Facility Technical and Scientific Forum, as well as the Central Facility workshops. |
| Registration | Registration will open in late August. |
| Programme | Preliminary agenda of the ACTRIS Week 2026 will be published as soon as it becomes available. Preliminary programme is structured as follows: Monday October 19th - ATMO-SERV Kick-Off Meeting (start at 15:00) Tuesday October 20th - ATMO-SERV Kick-Off Meeting Wednesday October 21st - Central Facility and other workshops. The following workshops are expected to take place:
Thursday October 22nd - General ACTRIS session and National Facility Technical & Scientific Forum, including parallel technical discussions Friday October 23rd - National Facility Technical & Scientific Forum, including parallel Working Group sessions (end by 12:00) |
| Social Activities | ACTRIS Week 2026 dinner will take place on Wednesday October 21st at 19:00 at the Patio Park (ul. Tadeusza Kosciuszki 101). Other social activities will be announced in due time. |
| Transport | Katowice is located in southern Poland and is the capital city of the Silesian Voivodeship. Katowice is 80 km west of Krakow and 300 km southwest of Warsaw. Katowice can be easily reached by bus and train from most parts of Central Europe. Please, consult Google Maps for the best land routes to/from Katowice. Katowice International Airport (KTW) is located 30 km north of the city and serves many destinations in Europe, mostly by low-cost carriers. Bus from KTW to the city takes approximately 45 minutes. Krakow John Paul II International Airport (KRK) is a bigger airport located 67 km east of Katowice. The airport is served by all major European airlines. There are regular FlixBuses directly from KRK to Katowice taking about an hour. |
