Third General Meeting of the ITINERIS Project

ITINERIS

On 25–26 September 2025, the third general meeting of the ITINERIS project – Italian Integrated Environmental Research Infrastructures System – took place in Rome at the CNR headquarters. The project is funded by the National Recovery and Resilience Plan (PNRR) and coordinated by CNR.

The meeting gathered around 300 participants and served as an important moment of scientific exchange, alignment on strategic objectives, and discussion of the final stages of the project. Presentations from researchers, technologists, technicians, and collaborators provided an overview of activities and significant results achieved so far, fostering knowledge sharing and scientific dialogue.

A special focus was placed on the progress of the ITINERIS HUB, the integrated system for accessing data, services, and facilities to support interdisciplinary research across four major environmental domains: atmosphere, marine environment, terrestrial biosphere, and geosphere.

ACTRIS is actively involved in ITINERIS, contributing expertise and services in the atmospheric domain, and supporting the development of the ITINERIS HUB as a key gateway for integrated environmental research.

The strong participation in the event confirmed ITINERIS’s role as a national and international reference point for environmental research.
