ACTRIS-FR 2026 Workshop Celebrates a Decade on the French Ministry’s Research Infrastructure Roadmap

Workshop ACTRIS FR 2026

From May 18 to 22, 2026, the annual ACTRIS-FR Workshop brought together around 80 participants from the French atmospheric research community in Autrans, France. The event welcomed scientists, engineers, technicians, data specialists, and institutional representatives involved in ACTRIS-FR providing a unique opportunity to exchange ideas, share progress, and discuss future developments.

One of the highlights of the 2026 edition was the participation of the atmospheric modelling community. Their presence encouraged valuable discussions on the integration of observational variables and parameters into numerical models, strengthening the dialogue between observations, data management, and modelling activities.

This year’s event marked a special milestone: the 10th anniversary of ACTRIS-FR’s inclusion in the French Ministry of Higher Education and Research’s Roadmap. To celebrate this anniversary, participants took part in several community-building activities. The first ACTRIS-FR Olympics brought together attendees in a friendly and collaborative spirit, while a photo competition showcased the diversity and beauty of ACTRIS-FR observation platforms and field campaigns.
